Arby's sent me a gift card to check out their new Smokehouse Brisket sandwich, so this past weekend we decided to head over and try it out. I only have one day off on the weekends for the next few weeks, which means it is filled with tons of chores – laundy, grocery shopping, cleaning… On my one day off I also have to plan the meals for the week and cook as much as I can so I don't have to make dinner when I get home late. After a long day at the hospital I come home pretty tired, so it is always nice to have something already prepared. The only downside is that it adds a lot of work to my only day off! It was really nice to take a break and go out for some sandwiches for dinner, especially because the weather was so nice! We sat outside and enjoyed the sun while eating our dinner, then after we watched some friends play tennis.
The Smokehouse Brisket sandwich is smoked for at least 13 hours, and topped with smoked Gouda cheese, crispy onions, BBQ sauce and mayo, and served on a toasted, bakery-style bun. I love BBQ sauce on my sandwiches, and it reminded me a little of my favorite slow-cooked BBQ chicken sandwich recipe, with a few extras. The carmelized onions were my favorite part, I always forget how much I love them. The Smokehouse Brisket sandwich was really flavorful! I usually prefer turkey wraps, but I would get this sandwich again.

Introduced my husband to Arby’s 25 years ago, it has been a favorite ever since. We had many dates there. He swore he didn’t like horseradish until he mixed my sandwich for his and experienced the flavourful pleasures of “Horsey Sauce” (they sold it by the bottle then for take home).
We even did Christmas shopping there…one year they sold Christmas decorated wine glasses, we bought them for all the hard to shop for on our list…and still have our set.
Now Arby’s is a favorite for our children too.

It would be neat to win to surprise my husband. When he was in elementary school (40 yr ago) he won an award for reading the most books over the summer. His teacher said he could go to lunch anywhere and he picked Arby’s. The funny part was – he forgot to order a drink…..
I love Arby’s because I’m typically not a beef fan, but Arby’s changed my opinion about beef. I not only enjoy the original roast beef, but I love their Chicken Cordon Bleu and Turkey sandwiches as well. Potato cakes and curly fries are deliciously addictive. And last but certainly not least, those Jamocha shakes are to die for! That’s why I love Arby’s. Variety, not terribly expensive, great customer service, and they completely changed my view on roast beef.
I love too many things about arby’s! Their curly fries, milkshakes, and of course…the french dip sandwich! (My husband loves their chicken salad though!)
Arby’s is great when you’re in a hurry but don’t want something greasy and heavy. Their food is fresh and light but filling at the same time.
I love Arby’s because, first of all their offerings are delicious!!
Also I love Arby’s because they have some special unique menu items that you don’t get at the majority of the other fast food restaurants, beyond a burger and fries…

Okay so I like Arby’s and I HATE to admit it lol BECAUSE I’ve said I hate roast beef for so many years! My husband is constantly trying to get me to try it and I won’t. Well recently I’ve tried some of the sandwiches from Arby’s and I actually love it (roast beef)! I don’t think I’ll admit it to my husband lol Who rubs it in my face since he loves the place so much and I refuse to eat any beef from there until lately (in secret!!) *giggles* I do love the curly fries and the subs as well. Love their chicken salad, curly fries, turnovers and iced tea. The jalapeno bites with bronco berry sauce are just the perfect amount of sweet & spicy. Arby’s is great!

My love of Arbys has actually been renewed because of this sandwich lol my boyfriend and I decided to stop in after seeing a commercial for it and fell in love; its currently my favorite fast food sandwich! Its funny, the week before we tried the smokehouse brisket from Arbys we went to a new BBQ pit in our area- we both ordered their brisket sandwich, paid twice as much and were really disappointed. Wish we would have went to Arbys first lol….
